Sponsor Barney: Barney is our magnificent 1,500-pound Percheron draft horse and the newest gentle giant to join the Long Away Acres family. He has a head the size of a small sedan and a heart just as big! Because Barney manages Cushing's disease, he requires a highly specialized, low-sugar diet (which he happily devours with alarming volume). Sponsoring Barney means directly funding the vital daily care, massive specialty feed orders, and meticulous medical management required to keep our biggest boy healthy, happy, and thriving in his well-earned retirement.
